Records and documentation management are vital aspects of company operations often overlooked. This report, titled “The Addition of Alphabetical Filing System Combination for Document Search Efficiency,” is based on the industrial work practice at PT BDO Konsultan Indonesia. This research identifies efficiency issues in the current filing system, which uses classification based on the type of work and time of execution. This system has not provided the expected efficiency in document retrieval and shows inconsistencies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Through observation and implementation during industrial work practice, the author proposes adding an alphabetical classification system to enhance document retrieval efficiency and refine archiving procedures to align with SOP. Implementation results show increased accessibility and efficiency in document retrieval and reduced risk of document damage or loss. This research aims to contribute positively to improving records management efficiency at PT BDO Konsultan Indonesia and serve as a reference for other companies facing similar issues.
